Installing BackSlash on VM is strictly not recommended. You may face Performance issues and UI glitches. You may also not be able to boot the Operating System.

Here is my personal experience in installing BackSlash in Virtualbox. I tried with VMware without any success.

I allocated 4GB of RAM for the VM. It started booting with KDE neon screen. For me it didn’t boot to GUI. It showed me a command window.

I tried to login with username as ‘backslash’ and an empty password. (I had to give empty password two times to login successfully)

After login, I used following command to go to GUI

startx

Then GUI loaded and I could install backslash in virtualbox.

The performance in VM is not so great. But you can test the OS easily.
